In the midst of increasing cases of COVID-19, the District Government of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) has decided to stop face-to-face learning at the COVID-19 Task Force meeting.

HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry here on Friday (Jan 8, 2021) said the meeting was to follow up the instruction from the Minister of Home Affairs that every district and city to continue to tighten activities to prevent COVID-19.

"Several conclusions were drawn at the meeting. First, face-to-face learning starting Monday (Jan 11, 2021) turned into online learning. This is because the authority to permit school is taken over by the central Task Force," he said in a statement after the meeting.

So (the second), he explained, while proposing face-to-face learning permit, the school would again carry out online learning.

The Regent together with HSS Police Chief and Kandangan Military Commander issued a circular to regulate restrictions on public activities. Any activities to make crowd is arranged in such a way.

"Including hours of operation, such as stalls, restaurants, cafes, and others open only until 22.00," he said.

Justice operations will continue to carry out in order to make the public aware of the danger of COVID-19 and comply with health protocols.

He asked the public to maximally adhere to 4M, namely wearing masks, washing hands with soap and running waters, maintaining physical distance, and avoiding crowds.

The meeting was chaired by the Regent accompanied by Deputy Regent Syamsuri Arsyad, attended by Police Chief, District Secretary, representative of Kodim 1003/Kandangan, members of Task Force for Acceleration Handling and Prevention of COVID-19, as well other invitations.
