Head of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUTR) Agency Tedy Soetedjo‎ said the cost of the second phase construction of HSS Islamic Center is IDR50 billion.

According to him, the first phase of the construction --namely the MUI Secretariat and the installation of the mosque pile foundation to the concrete sloof-- have been completed in 2020. 

“If all goes well the (whole) construction is targeted to finish before the term office of Regent Achmad Fikri ends,” he said at the District Government Monthly Coordination Meeting through video conference.

He explained that the district government is open to the third party,  especially businessmen and aghniya or well off people, who want to participate in the development.

The development of the magnificent and modern Islamic Center building is located in the Katupat roundabout area in Hamalau Village, Sungai Raya Sub-district. It is planned that number of religious activity centers will be built in it.

In addition, modern facilities such as a plaza, centers of economic activity for MSMEs and ATMs will also be built, and easier access road to the area. When the Islamic Center is completed, later road access will pass to Baangkat Mosque (Su’ada) Wasah Hilir, Simpur Sub-district.

Regent H Achmad Fikry said that the district government continues the construction of the Islamic Center this year with pure local budget (APBD) fund by building the mosque.
