Regent H A Chairansyah stated this after hearing inputs from several parties in a coordination meeting to prepare face-to-face learning at the Regent's Office Auditorium, Tuesday (Dec 22, 2020).

Head of the Health Office Kusudiarto suggested that face-to-face learning to be carried out but by implementing strict health protocols.

Meanwhile, Head of Education Office Chairiah reported the readiness of schools that had fulfilled the checklist. According to her, the technical implementation refers to the Joint 4 Ministerial Decree (SKB) on learning in the academic year of 2020/2021 and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

There were many other inputs from the coordination meeting participants, related to the level of risk of the spread of COVID-19 in HST, the availability of sanitation and hygiene facilities, the readiness of teachers and students, the need of supervision from the COVID-19 Task Force, and the psychology of children in a pandemic situation.

The face-to-face learning will be simulated at 13 PAUDs (early childhood educations), 13 SDs (elementary schools), dan 13 SMP (junior high schools) across the HST. One for each sub-district, except Barabai Sub-district with three PAUD, SD dan SMP.

Chairansyah reminded that the simulation cannot be simultaneous, but must be gradual. The implementation of face-to-face learning will be evaluated every two weeks and involves the COVID-19 Task Force in its supervision.
