Beginning December 15, 2020, the District Government of Central Hulu Sungai (HST) officially closes the claim service for COVID-19 compensation.
Head of HST Social Agency H Muhammad Yusuf here on Monday (Dec 21, 2020) said it was recorded that 437 residents who recovered from COVID-19 had claim the compensation. Compensation was also givento the families of 10 people died from COVID-19.
He explained that the indemnity is given to residents who confirmed positive for COVID-19, then carried out quarantine, either at the government facilities or independently at home, then recovered. The compensation is IDR700 thousand per person.
"As for compensation for residents who died, then buried according to the COVID-19 protocol, but the results of swab test were negative, they (family) would receive compensation of IDR2.5 million," he said.
The official data on coronavirus victims is with the HST Health Agency and the compensation is only givento residents who make claims.
"If they do not claim, we do not force it. The important thing is we have coordinated and conveyed it through the sub-district heads to forward it to the villages and all residents of HST," said Yusuf.
Regarding the closure of claim service on December 15, he said, this is to adjust the financial agenda, because all accountability reports have to be completed by December 23, considering that all funds came form the HST budget.
