The Kotabaru Legislative Council (DPRD) is keeping its strive to seek the central government to build 126 houses for Kotabaru fire disaster.
Chairman of Commission III of the Kotabaru DPRD Suji Hendra said that the commission had held a coordination meeting with South Kalimantan DPRD, and had a talk with a member of the House of Representatives (DPR-RI), to consult the handling of the post-Kotabaru fire disaster.
"Our (Commission III Kotabaru) discussion with a member of DPR-RI from PDIP faction, Rifki (from South Kalimantan), then resulted in willingness that he was ready to fight for the aspiration of the fire victims to get assistance to build their burnt houses," said Suji Hendra, Monday.
From the explanation he received, the fund for building all the ex-fire houses will be disbursed from the 2021 State Budget (APBN).

As a follow-up to this information, the PAN politician said, the Commission III paid a visit to the South Kalimantan Provincial Government to ask for support so as to strengthen their join commitment with the DPR-RI could be realized.
"Support from the province, both the provincial government and the DPRD, is urgently needed for the realization of assistance for the Kotabaru fire victims," said Suji.
At the same time, the district government will budget the preparation of Detail Engineering Design (DED) and environmental studies which are mandatory requirements must be met in realigning the fire location.
