An aid from donors and various elements of society in Banjarbaru City was distributed to fire disaster victims in Kotabaru District as a form of concern for others.
The assistance collected was then delivered through the fleet of Banjarbaru Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) and Fire-Care Community (MPA) which left for Kotabaru on Friday.
The entourage, used a BPBD's truck which was full of basic necessities and daily appliances needed by the fire victims was seen off by the Regional Secretary of Banjarbaru concurrently Chief of Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Said Abdullah.

"We see off the departure of the entourage to deliver the aid to our brothers and families who were being hit by the disaster, so we are obliged to help to ease their burden," he said.
The aid that distributed was a donation from the Indonesian Doctor's Wife Association (Banjarbaru City and Banjar District), as well as other donors.
Among them were 160 kg of rice, 40 boxes of instant noodles, 30 boxes of milk for infant age 1 to 3 years, 14 boxes of canned fish, 10 boxes of milk for children, 10 boxes of soap, 3 boxes of toothpaste, 150 pieces of clothes and blankets, towels, sarongs. Then 10 stoves, 10 regulators, 5 sets of pans, 50 sheet mats, and 9 dozens plates.
A large fire struck the densely populated Patmaraga area in Kotabaru, Friday (Oct 30) burned down hundreds of houses and left more than 500 people homeless.
