Regent of Tapin HM Arifin Arpan inaugurated Passport Service Unit (ULP) in Rantau, as an effort of the immigration to improve services and to make it closer for people in the Banua Enam (the six districts). 

"We hope that the ULP office can make it easier for people to get a passport, both for Tapin residents or residents of neighboring areas," said the regent, Wednesday (Sept 16, 2020).

Having a passport service office in Tapin will certainly make it easy that people in Tapin will no longer need to go all the way to Banjarmasin to apply fora passport.

"The Tapin government will of course keep assisting the immigration office in providing the best service to passport applicants," he said.

Arifin Arpan said, as an effort to improve service, his party ready to help build a prayer room facility, which currently does not exist in the ULP Tapin office.

Anton Helistiawan, Head of the class 1 Immigration Office of Banjarmasin said that with its inauguration the ULP Tapin Office on Jalan Bypass Rantau is ready to serve the people.

"We are ready to serve people who want to apply for passport every day from Monday to Friday," he said.

Anton explained, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the office would serve 50 applicants per day.

"50 applicants for the time being. Later, when the pandemic is over, we will be ready to serve applicants to any number," he said.

He added that currently the Banjarmasin Immigration currently has three service units office, namely in Banjarmasin, Tanah Bumbu, and Tapin.
