PT Antang Gunung Meratus (AGM) handed over donation worth thousands of masks to support the one million masks movement in the South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District.
HSS's Social and Development Administration Assistant Sasmi Rifani here on Monday (Sept 14, 2020) expressed gratitude for the support of PT AGM, represented by Syamsul. This of course will be very useful in supporting the one million masks movement.
"The one million masks movement will be launched by the Minister of Home Affairs. We hope this movement will increase public awareness of wearing masks, thus we can prevent and stop the spread of COVID-19," said Sasmi Rifani, who was accompanied by Head of Economic Development Eko Harjidi Putra.
Meanwhile, the government of HSS together with related stakeholders are currently aggressively enforcing Regent Regulation(Perbup) No. 44 of 2020, which contains social and administrative sanction against violation of mask discipline.
The state civil apparatus (ASN) if found not wearing masks, their performance allowance will be deducted, in addition to regent's regulation sanction, because ASN is expected to be an example in enforcing health protocol.

The delivery of assistance from PT AGM was clear evidence of participation of the business world in the HSS in supporting the one million masks movement, as agreed between business circle and the district government.
"As the assistance of PT AGM in the form of a cash donation, it will be used to procure masks and all will be distributed right away to the community, so everyone has a mask. No more reason to leave the house without having a mask," he said.
