Banjarmasin City Government through the Cooperative, SMEs, and Manpower Agency has proposed as many as 3,500 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) receive subsidies in the form of Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) from the central government.

As is known, said acting head of the agency Doyo Pudjadi in Banjarmasin on Friday, President Joko Widodo has launched the cash transfer program of Rp2.4 million each for UMKM affected by COVID-19.

"The disbursing of BLT for UMKM has been beginning. Some of the 3,500 UMKM we have proposed informing us that they have received the assistance," Doyo Pudjadi said.

However, the assistant to the Mayor of Banjarmasin in the economic said he did not know all or only partly of the UMKM have received the cash transfer.

"The assistance goes directly to the UMKM account," he said.

It is understandable because there are millions of small and medium enterprises are assisted by the central government, so the transfer of fund is carried out in stages.

According to Doyo Pudjadi, some of the UMKM proposed in Banjarmasin to receive their transfer through BRI, while others through the provincial government.

All of them, he said, should be active and productive and have a saving under Rp2 million in their account.
