Adaro Group on Tuesday (July 21, 2020) handed over ventilators to support the Bayangkara Hospital in Banjarmasin in the handling of COVID-19 patients.
The Adaro Logistics's External Relation Division Head Iwan Wiranto handed over the device to the Deputy Head of the Bhayangkara Banjarmasin Hospital drg Kristina Dewi. He was accompanied by Tutug Panji of QHSE Department and Abi Thalhah of Adaro Logistic's CSR.
The assistance in the form of two COVENT-20 ventilators was the result of collaboration of Adaro Group with the UI’s School of Engineering.
Chief of the Adaro Logistic's Task Force for COVID-19 Acceleration Handling Iwan Wiranto said the assistance was aimed to add the completeness of medical equipment for Bhayangkara Hospital in the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
He said it was a form of concern of the Adaro Group as a private company to support the handling of the pandemic in Indonesia.
“On behalf of Adaro Group we hope that the assistance provided will be beneficial to the hospital,” Iwan said.

Previously, Adaro Logistic had distributed 57.748 healthy masks for community in a number of the company's operational areas.
Deputy Head of Bayangkara Hospital Banjarmasin drg Kristina Dewi expressed gratitude for the assistance the Adaro Group has provided.
“We are very grateful for the Adaro Group's assistance because this type of mobile ventilator is very easy if it has to be moved to another room where patients need treatment," Kristina explained.
