Kotabaru, South Kalimantan 15/9 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Kotabaru administration is now resuming the construction of its outstanding attraction, Siring Laut Park, which was stopped for several years, by allocating a budget of Rp6.2 billion.
Acting Head of the Kotabaru Culture and Tourism Agency Khairian here on Friday said the construction of Siring Laut that has not been completed and is now resumed after previously built as a grant by PT Sebuku Iron Lateritic Ores (SILO).
"Through 2017 local budget Kotabaru allocates Rp6,2 billion, and the work has now being started," said Rian.
The funds, he continued, will be used to cast concrete poles that have been installed but not casted. When covered by a concrete cast, hundreds of poles that have been planted in a few years will be an open area.
On the open area will be built a tower of view and other facilities to beautify Siring Laut Park as city tour in Kotabaru.
"We are targeting the construction to be completed by 2020, with a total budget of around Rp40 billion," explained Rian.
Meanwhile, in 2014 PT SILO Group helped Kotabaru approximately Rp26 billion for the expansion of the park, as a location for the celebration of Nusantara Day on December 13, 2014.
The assistance provided was not a fund but a building of Siring Laut expansion. According to the consultant, the value of Siring Laut development was more than Rp26 billion.
In addition to the expansion of Siring Laut, as a form of awareness of regional development, the management of PT SILO also helped in other fields.
