Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Rector Prof. Sutarto Hadi said, ULM graduates have now obtained a diploma with superior accreditation since the largest university in South Kalimantan succeeded in achieving A accreditation.
According to Sutarto, by getting an A accreditation, the diploma scores currently held by alumni differ in weight quality compared to before.
"Certainly it will be a matter of pride for us as publishers of diplomas and of course graduates who will use them," said Sutarto in his remarks at the ULM 91st Graduation at the Auditorium of the Banjarbaru Campus, Tuesday (23/4).
In total there are 1,100 graduates who are confirmed from the Diploma Program (S0), Bachelor (S1) and Postgraduate (S2).
Of the thousands of happy people, there was one special name. She was the wife of the number one person on South Kalimantan, namely Raudatul Jannah or often called Acil Odah as ULM graduate from the Masters Program in Public Health.
"We are proud of the wife of South Kalimantan Governor Uncle Birin being part of a large ULM family," said Sutarto, who was immediately greeted by a standing ovation from the graduates and invitees.
Sutarto also revealed the assistance and support of the governor thatULM could continue to move forward as it is now.
"The success of ULM in obtaining A Accreditation is inseparable from the support of the regional government. Then the construction of a number of new buildings and infrastructure, financial assistance for lecturers who study further in S3, and scholarships for underprivileged students are some examples of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government's real contribution to ULM," said the rector.
In 2019, ULM is indeed optimistically high. Various achievements were inscribed by the academics. After completion of the construction of new buildings from the 7 in 1 IDB project.
Last February for the first time, ULM held a graduation ceremony in its own Auditorium Building.
At its peak, on March 19, ULM obtained A Accreditation from the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT), in recognition that ULM became a superior university in Indonesia.
