The head of the agency Dr. Hanif Faisol Nurofiq here on Friday, after planting trees to mark the 36th National Forestry Service Day, said that his party had distributed around 150,000 trees to the community.
The trees are distributed to forestry farmer groups, which have been playing a role in protecting forest areas.
"Tree planting is not only in urban areas but also in areas that are the foundation of the forestry sector, namely in communities around forest areas," he said.
Through the division of trees, it is expected that replanting critical forest areas can be more quickly completed.
Hanif said, to plant 32 thousand hectares if done seriously it would take no less than 20 years.
So, from now on, the Forestry Office invites all relevant parties to seriously plant trees, to restore the environmental conditions of South Kalimantan to be better.
