Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) -
PT Pupuk Kaltim will add 13 thousand tons of subsidized fertilizer to meet the needs of farmers in South Kalimantan.
Kalimantan Superintendent Marketing of PT Pupuk Kaltim Abdul Kholiq during a product knowledge socialization and the 1st phase of media tour in 2019 at Swiss-Belhotel Banjarmasin, Thursday, revealed that the 13 tons of fertilizer to come are urea, only for this week.
"The subsidized fertilizer is transported by three large ships, 10,000 tons to the Trisakti Port of Banjarmasin and 3,000 tons to the Port of Batulicin," he said.
According to him, the current fertilizer stock is sufficient for South Kalimantan farmers, because there are still 3,168.15 tons of urea fertilizer and 6,438.90 tons of NPK in the warehouse.
"We are very concerned about the needs of farmers here, and we consider this is very sufficient," he said.
If this stock is still lacking, continued Abdul Kholiq, it is not too difficult to bring it again. "Because our port in Bontang is not too far from South Kalimantan," he said.
He said, fertilizer distribution that had been running until February 27, 2019 was 10,257.90 tons of urea and 8,932.35 tons of NPK.
He stated, if there were frauds or raised prices, people could report it to the Fertilizers and Pesticides Supervisory Commission (KPPP) in all regions, including branch offices in districts and cities.
