Paringin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Community's confuse and afraid regarding the proliferation of news about health services for JKN-KIS (the National Health Insurance-Healthy Indonesia Card) of BPJS cardholders directly responded by the Balangan District Government.

Head of the Health Agency H Akhmad Nasa'i Monday (7/1) emphasized that the community does not need to worry. The free health insurance guaranteed by the Balangan Government through the JKN-KIS BPJS program continues.

"For the pure budget of 2019, we have budgeted around IDR 18 billion for premium payments to the BPJS related to the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) program. The rest will be covered through the revised budget," he explained.

The UHC program is a collaboration between the Balangan Government and the Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan), which makes all the people registered in the population database of Balangan as JKN-KIS participants. This program is funded by the local budget (APBD).

Regarding the number of people covered by the UHC program, according to Nasa'i, it has not changed much from last year, which is 80 thousand more. "The amount is fluctuating because of changes in the number of residents each time. To ensure that every month there is always verification of population data," he explained.

Previously, Balangan Regent H Ansharuddin said the UHC program could guarantee maximum health services for Balangan residents, and it function nationally.

"It is expected that with the UHC program, health services for the community will be more maximal and benefit directly by the community," he concluded.
