Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) took part at the 9th edition of the Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship (KMI) Expo which this year held at the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) during 9-12 November 2018.
ULM was represented by FMIPA and Faculty of Forestry students who passed the selection of Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti). They displayed various kinds of superior products in the fields of services, creative industrial products, culture, and food.
"We are very proud and appreciate the participation of ULM students from FMIPA and the Faculty of Forestry in the KMI Expo this year while hoping ULM academics continue to echo the Entrepreneurship Program so that the entrepreneurial spirit grows since he was in college," said ULM Rector Prof. Dr. H Sutarto Hadi.
The KMI Expo is a meeting place for Indonesian entrepreneurial students who have been equipped with knowledge, skills and attitudes or entrepreneurial spirit.
As agents of change, they are expected to change the mindset of other students and the community in general from job seekers to creating jobs.
Another goal is a forum for young university entrepreneurs to build cooperation and networking with various other entrepreneurs throughout Indonesia. 124 colleges took part here.
This program is also implemented as a solution to technology disruption which is one of the developments and challenges that occur in the world of work today.
In addition to the Expo, entrepreneurship talk shows, gatherings were held to discuss the formation of the Indonesia Student Entrepreneurship Network, the National Entrepreneurship Program, and the Entrepreneurship Internship Program.
Director of Learning, Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of Kemenristekdikti Didin Wahidin said programs like this must continue to be held. He stated, there would no longer be unemployment in the future if every college graduate had an entrepreneurial spirit.
