Amuntai, S Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Head of the North Hulu Sungai (HSU) Communication and Information Agency Adi Lesmana asked the public to be wise in using social media because South Kalimantan Cyber Police are keeping their eyes on 7,000 smartphone users and anyone could be threatened by ITE Law.
"Through the Public Relations Coordinating Board (Bakohumas) and information material meeting in Banjarmasin recently the Head of South Kalimantan Diskominfo (Communication and Information Agency) GT Yanuar Noor Rifai reminded us to be wise in the use of social media, because cyber team is always monitoring smartphone and internet users, anyone might be entangled by the ITE Law," Adi Lesmana said in Amuntai, Friday.
Adi said that through various information facilities owned by the HSU, the agency continues to encourage the public to use social media wisely.
Moreover, said Adi, moment ahead of the legislative and the presidential election, it is quite vulnerable to the spread of information through social media, among them is hoaxes or fake news.
"The South Kalimantan Police Cyber Team can find out where the hoax news is and the actor or disseminator," Adi said, quoting the Head of South Kalimantan Diskominfo at the meeting attended by the communication agencies throughout South Kalimantan at the Rattan In Hotel on September 19, 2018.
