Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Brig. Gen. Rachmat Mulyana checked the availability of food stocks, especially rice, in Bulog Baru warehouse on Jalan Ahmad Yani Km 21 Banjarbaru.
"We ensure the sufficiency of rice after the Christmas celebration of 2017 and ahead of the New Year 2018," Rachmat said in Banjarmasin on Friday.
Police Chief asserted direct check with the South Kalimantan Police's food stability task force he led was a form of preparedness for the security of food stocks for the people of South Kalimantan.
"This is also part of the National Chief of Police order to check directly at the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) Warehouse to ensure the rice stock so that the people fulfilled their food needs at a stable price during the holiday season," said the Police Chief.
His visit to Bulog warehouse was accompanied by Director of Special Crime Investigation (Reskrimsus) Sr Comr (Kombes) Rizal Irawan, Director of Intelligence Sr Comr Bambang Priyo Andogo, Head of Public Relations Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Mochamad Rifai and Police Chief of Banjarbaru Adj Sr Comr Kelana Jaya.
Meanwhile, Head of Bulog Regional Division of South Kalimantan Dedi Supriadi said that rice stocks until the end of the year are very safe.
"Until Thursday (28/12) afternoon we get the info that the availability of rice as much as 14,153 tons is enough until 6 months ahead, availability of meat 400 kg with price Rp80.000, cooking oil 18.000 liters worth Rp12.500 per liter, sugar 4000 tons for Rp12.500 per kg, "he said.
Dedi added that 14,153 tons of rice is spread in Bulog Baru Warehouse 5,500 tons, Barabai Warehouse 4,418 tons, Kotabaru 262 tons, and Trisakti Banjarmasin 3,300 tons.
