Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, will host the National Student Quran Recital Contest (MTQ).
"The appointment of ULM as the host was directly conveyed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology's Director General of Higher Education (Dirjen Dikti) , Profeassor Khairul Munadi," said ULM Rector Professor Ahmad Alim Bachri here on Sunday.
He said this appointment was a recognition of ULM's capacity in organizing national scale events and contributing to the world of higher education.

According to Dirjen Dikti, he quoted, ULM has a great potential and strong experience in managing national events, so it is believed that the 2025 National Student MTQ will be a success.
Alim welcomed with pride and optimism the trust given by the government to ULM as a host of the prestigious national scale event at the university level.
By being appointed to host the national student MTQ, this campus will not only become the center of national level religious activities, but is also stengthening its position as an innovative, collaborative, and impactful higher education for the wider community.
The rector also hopes to achieve success with thorough preparation of students to take part in the MTQ competition.
"Students who passed the university-level selection were then trained for about 1 year for tilawah, tartil, tahfidz (10,20, and 30 Juz), and khat," he added.
