Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Regent of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, Andi Rudi Latif participating in the regional head orientation or retreat in Magelang, Central Java, with full enthusiasm and joy.
"The topics presented are very useful, the materials are the basis for synchronizing central government policies with regional governments," said Andi Rudi Latif in Batulicin, Friday.
He expounded that the regional head retreat in Magelang aims to build closer relationships among leaders throughout Indonesia, as well as providing inspiration for the development of their respective regions.
On the seventh day, retreat participants went to the top of Mount Tidar, where around the mountain there was the tomb of Sheikh Subakir, one of clerics who spread Islam in Java.
Their attendance to this historic place provided a special feel retreat participants, deepened their knowlegde about cultural heritage and history of Islam in Indonesia.
During the retreat, the regent told that they were united and supported with each other, creating a warm togeherness atmosphere.
"That moment was very valuable for us and other regional heads, because it was an important momentum in building solidarity among regional heads to expedite development in their respective regions," he said.
