Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The National Logistics Agency (Bulog) for Kotabaru and Tanah Bumbu regions, South Kalimantan, distributed 638 tons of 10-kg rice packages and 67,000 liters of cooking oil to residents in the two districts.
"In June and July, 165 tons of rice were distributed to 8,270 beneficiaries of low-income communities in Kotabaru ," said Moch Faizal, Head of the Bulog Kotabaru-Tanah Bumbu Branch Office (KCP), in Batulicin on Monday.
In the same period, Bulog also distributed 135 tons of rice to 6,764 beneficiaries of low-income communities in Tanah Bumbu.

In October and November, 338 tons of rice and 67,000 liters of cooking oil were distributed to residents of Kotabaru and Tanah Bumbu Regencies.
In Tanah Bumbu Regency alone, 153 tons of rice and 30,000 liters of cooking oil were distributed to 7,600 beneficiaries.
In the Kotabaru area, 185 tons of rice and 37,000 liters of cooking oil were distributed to 9,200 beneficiaries or low-income residents.
"In each food aid package, the recipient receives 20 kg of rice and four liters of Minyak Kita brand cooking oil," said Faizal.
He emphasized that this is part of the government's food reserves in collaboration with the Bapanas (National Food Agency) with the aim to help ease the burden on the beneficiaries amidst the economic challanges.
