Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 8/12 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin City Government through the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) will clean up the attractions area of Martapura River siring (embankment) at Jalan Piere Tendean from street vendors.
According to the Head of Public Order of Satpol PP Dani Matera, the cleanup is to make sure there will be no more street vendors (PKL) at siring Tendean on Sunday (11/12).
"There will be 200 Satpol PP personnel deployed to carry out the task," he said in Banjarmasin on Thursday.
He said the Satpol PP will be guarding the entrance to the siring since 04.00 am early in the morning until noon. Every street vendor who enter the siring will be asked. if he has no certain place will be rejected to enter.
"If they (PKL) rent resident's house yard does not matter, but using the roadside area especially in the siring, are prohibited," he said.
Dani declared, prohibition of activities for street vendors in this Tendean siring to be routinized every weekend or Sunday, because at that time siring is crowded.
"The point is siring is clean from street vendors on that day , only floating market is permissible, because it is a tourist destination," said Dani.
In the meantime, he said, according to the data there are about 400 street vendors who usually throng siring Tendean attractions.
Banjarmasin Culture and Tourism Agency data shows about 5,000 visitors throng the siring in weekend, especially in the morning where there is floating market activities.
