Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Pelsar Tambang Kencana (PTK) has received a gold category award at Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Sustainable Village Development (PDB) Award 2024, which was held by the Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (PDTT) Ministry.
"The award was given because the company was deemed successful in improving community welfare through sustainable (clean water supply) program," said the company's CSR Manager Septamto L. Inkiriwang in Kotobaru Sunday.
Clean water program was the company's contribution in helping community meeting their needs. "This program is expected to improve the quality of life of people around the company," he said.

PT Pelsart initiated clean water program to fulfil commitments in the Community Empowerment and Development (PPM) program mandated by the ESDM Ministerial Decree Number 1824 of 2018.
"It is an honor for the the Management of PT Pelsar Tambang Kencana (Pelsart) to receive the gold category award which was handed over by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in Jakarta, Wednesday (May 8, 2024)," he said.
Septanto said the company builts drilled wells using deep groundwater (60-120 m below the surface) with guaranteed quality and quantity of sustainability.
The beneficiaries of the program are 120 residents and a number of public facilities, such as school, police office, community health center, market, and a mosque around the mine.
