Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The Provincial Government of South Kalimantan facilitates halal certification for 1,000 MSME products to help business actors in marketing their products.
South Kalimantan Assistant II for Economy and Development Muhammad Amin in Banjarbaru on Thursday (April 18, 2024) said that the provincial government is committed to help MSMEs to obtain halal certification optimally.

To this end, he said, beginning May 21, 2024, government will facilitate MSMEs' products to undergo the process of obtaining halal certificates at designated institution.
Amin admitted that there must be role of various parties to success this big movement.
Today, he said, the provincial government held a coordination meeting with agencies in the provinces, as well as banks and others to make this program a success as quick as possible.
Amin explained that this effort is related to Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantee (JPH), products entering, circulating and traded in Indonesia territory must be halal certified, the deadline is October 18, 2024.
Head of South Kalimantan Cooperative and SME Office Gusti Yanuar Noor Rifai said that the acceleration of 1,000 MSME's products halal certification will be implemented in several districts and cities.
They are Tanah Laut District, Barito Kuala District, Tapin District, Banjar District, Banjarmasin City and Banjarbaru City that will participate in the program.
"Participants of the 1,000 halal certification are MSMEs that already have Business Identification Number (NIB), and this is the main requirement," he said.
