Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Tanah Laut Food Security and Fisheries Office (DKPP) has ditributed 12 tons of food price supply stability (SPHP) rice in the last two months, head of Food Availability and Distribution at the office Bornea Retno Mahalayati informed.
"Within two months from January to Februari 2024, we have distributed 12 tons of SPHP rice to the community through low price markets," said Mahalayati in Pelaihari, Tuesday.
It is the State Logistics Agency (Bulog), she said, who determines the SPHP rice quota for DKPP, while her party only submits the amount.
"For March, we still don't know whether we will be supplied a six tons quota or increased, because the low price market (pasar murah) schedule increased from the previous two months," she explained.

She hopes there will be an increase from Bulog considering an increase of low price markets in the district.
"We also hope that SPHP rice supply to balance rice price on the market," she hopes.
The selling price of SPHP rice in low price market is usually below the retail price ceiling (HET) of Rp57,500 per five kg package.
"In Tanah Laut, it is not only DKPP distributing SPHP rice, but there are 11 Bulog partners as distributors in this area," she said.
