Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Family Welfare Empowerment Driving Team (TP-PKK) Chairwoman Fatma Idiana urged the integrated health service posts (posyandu) in villages to run well and keep improving their services to residents.
"We expected posyandu programs in every village continue to run well to providing services to the community," she said when conducting posyandu monitoring in Mekarpura Village, Pulaulaut Tengah Sub-district, Tuesday (February 20, 2024).
In monitoring posyandu, Idiana with the team also distributed social assistance (bansos) in the form of basic necessities to residents.
The program included a construction a unit of a house for stunting mitigation, renovation of 10 unhabitable houses, distribution of milk, eggs, biscuits, and educational game for two toddlers at risk of stunting as well as milk for pregnant women.
The assistance came from the Kotabaru Social Office, Public Housing, Settlement and Land Office, Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning Office, and Health Office.
"I really appreciate the steps taken by both the sub-district and village by providing information to the government, so that residents in need feel that they are being cared for," she said.
She also hopes that the assistance distributed to be right on target and have a maximum impact on those who need it.
