Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Police Chief AKBP Tri Suhartanto gave umroh prize to three personnel from different agencies, Satpol PP (Public Order Agency), Babinsa (non-commissioned officers in charge of village supervision), and Senkom Mitra Polri (the National Police`s social organization partner).
It was announced by the Police Chief after leading a roll call to secure the 2024 Election polling station in Siring Laut field, Kotabaru.
"Insya Allah (God Wiling) they will leave together with the others, after the 2024 General Election voting process or around February 20, 2024," said Tri Suhartanto in Kotabaru, Monday.
He said umroh prize was given as appreciation for their dedication and loyality for decades of serving the community through their respective institutions.
Kotabaru Satpol PP personnel Hamka said he was suprised by the announcement to receive free Umrah package from the Police Chief.
"I am so suprised and happy, because I got a free Umrah," said Hamka
Member of Pulau Laut Utara Babinsa First Sergeant (Sertu) Yuli Wandono, who ahs served in the TNI for 32 years, also expressed his suprise and happiness when the number one person in Kotabaru Police announced his name as oenof the recipients of the free Umroh package.
Likewise, member of Senkom Mitra Polri, Memet, acknowledged that he was happy and never expected at all to get the package.
Previously, Kotabaru Police Chief also had given Umrah gift to becak or pedicab driver, marbot (worker) of Baitul Abror Mosque, a teacher of SMPN 1 Kotabaru, and a local journalist.
