Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The District Government of Tabalong, South Kalimantan, targets to reduce poverty rate from 5.77 percent to 5.10 percent by 2025.
Secretary of the Tabalong Board of Development Planning, Reearch and Development (Bappedalitbangda) H Sujadi said that poverty alleviation is one of the main strategic targets of the 2025 Regional Activity Development Plan(RKPD) .
"One of the main targets of the 2025 RKPD is increasing employment opportunities and to alleviate poverty and unemployment as well as to realize quality economic growth," he expounded here on Sunday.
Tabalong target its economy to grow 2.5 to 3.5 percent and inflation rate of 1.14.

Previously, in the development planning forum (Musrenbang) of the 2025 RKPD of Haruai Sub-district, Regent H Anang Syakhfiani highlighted the high rate of poverty in this area.
There are still 2.223 families from a total 17,000 families here recorded as poor families.
"The alleviation of poverty rate will be proof of the success of the sub-district head and village head, so use the village fund to improve the community welfare," Anang pointed out.
Haruai, which is in the north part of Tabalong, Anang said, should be at the forefront considering of industrial area is in its Saradang Village.
Saradang industrial area is considered to be very potential to support the new national capital (IKN) which is adjacent to Tabalong through the development of middle to lower industry.
In this area, PT Conch South Kalimantan cement factory and a number of coal mining companies operate.
