Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Nine micro, small, and medium enterprises in Tabalong District, South Kalimantan, were chosen to be assisted by PT Adaro Indonesia after being selected in the Adaro Spectapreneur event.
CSR Section Head of PT Adaro Indonesia Yuri Budhi Sujalmi said that the nine new MSMEs were chosen based on the criterias of legality, unique products/local wisdom, and committed to moving forward together.
"The assistance provided by Adaro are in the form of capital and supporting equipments to maximize MSME's production," Yuri said here, Wednesday.
The new MSMEs selected were Dapur Pepaya, Dapur Tauft, Dapoer Rara, Kedai Yunda, E-covit (sambaleco), Madu Kelulut Borneo, Camilan HBB, Bumbu Ahay and Dapur Ummy.

Previously, the new MSMEs took part in the Adaro Spectapreneur event held from December 29, 2023 to January 3, 2024 to attract new entrepreneurs to be Adaro's coaching targets.
Adaro spectapreneur has been held since 2017 and this annual event is a turning point in efforts to find seeds of new entrepreneurs.
In November 2023, Adaro has also facilitated digital marketing training and "go international" product curation for MSMEs by presenting practitioners.
In addition to new MSMEs, a number of strong MSMEs assisted by Adaro also appeared at the Adaro Spectapreneur booth. They came from the districts of Tabalong, Balangan, East Barito, South Barito, Barito Kuala, and North Hulu Sungai.
Adaro also collaborates with the Integrated Business Center Cooperative and Micro, Small and Medium Enterpises (PLUT-KUMKM) related to permits and with Industry and Trade Office for data collection.
"Through this activity, the public knows better that Adaro as the largest coal mining company has a program to develop MSMEs and to attract new MSMEs in the company's operational area," added Yuri.
Eka, from Dapur Pepaya, Juai Village, Tanjung Sub-district, said she was excited that her business of processing various snacks made from papaya could receive assistance from Adaro.
"Alhamdulillah (Thank God) we can get support for processing equipment from Adaro and I am optimistis that Dapur Pepaya products will become increasingly well known to the wider community," said Eka.
