“Vitamin A supplementation for babies under five is an important step to boost children's growth,” said HST Regent Aulia Oktafiandi here on Monday (February 5, 2024).
Vitamin A, he said, is a very good source of nutrition and needed during the growth period of toddlers.

“We distribute Vitamin A to posyandu (integrated health services posts) activities. I hope local children, especially toddlers, do not suffer Vitamin A deficiancy,” he said.
Aulia said if toddlers lack of Vitamin A, they are facing various serious risk to their health condition, starting from visual impairment, susceptibility to infection, and stunting.
To anticipate the risk, his government has programmed the distribution of Vitamin A through posyandu to ensure children grow up healthy and intelligent.
