Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia managed to emerge as the overall champion, with 14 gold medals, eight silver medals, three bronze medals, and two medallions at the 13th Worldskills ASEAN 2023 competition.
"Alhamdulilaah, the Indonesian delegation's success to become the overall champion at the 13th Worldskills ASEAN in Singapore," Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor noted in a statement received in Jakarta, Friday.
After attending the closing ceremony, Noor expressed pride over the Indonesian delegation's achievements that had brought pride to the nation.
"I am so proud of the success achieved by the Indonesian delegation. This is a present for President Joko Widodo, Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah, Manpower Ministry, and of course, for the Indonesian people," he remarked.
Noor expressed optimism that the success clocked in 2023 would be replicated at the next event in Filipina.
"I wish that at the Worldskills ASEAN 2025 in Filipina, we can also become the overall champion again by the extraordinary skills and abilities of our children," Noor stated.
