Kandangan, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The South Hulu Sungai (HSS) administration won the Child-Friendly District (KLA) award with Nindya (upper-intermediate) rank from the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA).
HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry received the award handed over by the PPPA Minister Bintang Puspayoga in Semarang, Central Java.
Minister Puspayoga presented the 2023 District/City Award to a total of 360 districts/cities in four different categories. She also awarded the Child-Friendly Award to as many as 14 provinces, including South Kalimantan, for their tremendous efforts in encouraging districts and cities to become child-friendly regions.
"Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah) we have received KLA award in Nindya category. Thank you to the relevant Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD)," said Fikry as quoted from the HSS Prokopim's press release, Sunday.
He expounded that there have been a significant increase as a result of collaboration of all related OPD in realizing child-friendly district in HSS.
He encouraged all parties to continue commitment in fulfilling child's rights in HSS, continue to dedicate hoping in the future the district could make a progress to win the KLA's main category.
"We try our best to achieve the best, with always pay attention to the rights of children in HSS," said Fikry.
Previously, in 2017 to 2019 HSS won the KLA award in the Pratama category with a score of 500-600, then in 2021 HSS made a progress by wining the Madya (intermediate) category with a score of 600-700.
And finally in 2023 HSS has again level up with grades 801-900 and successfully received KLA award in Nindya category.
