Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Communication and Informatics Ministry (Kominfo) on Tuesday stated that dissemination of information on the Indonesia Pavilion in Hannover Messe 2023 to the public became an important step to attract more investors in Indonesia.
"The ministry continues to disseminate (information on) the activities of Indonesia as the partner country in Hannover Messe 2023, so that the public knows the benefit that they receive from this event," Kominfo's official, Usman Kansong, noted in a statement.
At the Hannover Messe 2023, Indonesia was the only ASEAN country to become the official partner country in the trade and industry fair.
On the occasion, Indonesia opened the Indonesia Pavilion that was designed to resemble a Pinisi Boat, with the message that it seeks to showcase the Indonesian spirit in facing future challenges.
The Indonesia Pavilion is expected to draw more investors from Europe to invest in Indonesia that can create jobs and encourage economic growth.
"We seek to convey to the public that there are concrete benefits that they will receive because those feeling the benefit of the jobs are the public," Kansong stated.
Beyond disseminating information on Indonesia's role in Hannover Messe 2023 as the official partner, the ministry also provides support and facilities for Indonesian startups to participate in showcasing their innovations at the event.
Startups that showcase their products and innovations are expected to attract investors in Hannover Messe 2023 to invest and support Indonesia’s digital economy.
“Informatics Application Directorate General offered assistance to startups that participate and open their booth or showcase their products in Hannover Messe,” Kansong stated.
Hannover Messe 2023 was held at the Hannover Fairground, Hannover, Germany, on April 17-21, 2023.
Hannover Messe 2023 is the biggest industry fair in Europe that features various technologies and innovations in the industry sector from all around the world.
As a whole, Indonesia brought 157 co-exhibitors from various fields starting from private parties, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and industrial parks to special economic zones to participate in the event.
