Banjarbaru, (Antaranews Kalimantan) - Chief of Staff of the District Military Command (Kasdam) VI/Mulawarman Brigadier General George E supit delivers 358 soldiers of Infantry Battalion 623/Bhakti Wira Utama to carry out a peace mission.
The release of hundreds of soldiers was marked by a ceremony of delivery of TNI Konga Task Force Yonkomposit XXXV-B UN Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) in Murjani Field, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, on Friday.
"Our message is keep the good name of nation and state as all soldiers from Indonesia who join the peacekeeping missions serving under the UN flag," said Kasdam.
He said any assignment of soldiers in peace missions abroad, especially in areas of conflict, always get a good appreciation of the various countries.
On the other hand, the mission of which soldiers always succeeded in fostering peace in areas of conflict, so that the good name of the nation and the state must be maintained.
"Each task and the trust given to soldiers to be executed as well as possible. Hold fast to the mandate and fully implement the spirit and discipline," the message.
Delivery ceremony was attended by the Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor, police Chief Brigadier General Agung Budi Maryoto, Danrem (District Military Commander) 101/Antasari Col Cav Yanuar Adil and other invitees.
"We send a special message of hope with all prayer for warriors to be given safety during stints in peace missions," said the governor.
Commander of Infantry Battalion 623/Bhakti Wira Utama Mayor Nur Rohman said all soldiers will be flown from the command headquarters located in Sungai Ulin, Banjarbaru.
