Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Tanah Bumbu District Government made a working visit to Banyuwangi District, East Java, learning its success in managing tourism sector.
Assistant for Government and Welfare of Tanah bumbu Administration Hj. Mariani here on Wednesday said that the Regent HM Zairullah Azhar asked the dispatched officers to study as well as possible.
"It is hoped that after returning from Banyuwangi we can promote tourism attractions in Tanah Bumbu," she said.
Tanah Bumbu is geographically located in southeastern Kalimantan and is also the gateway to the National Capital (IKN) of Nusantara, because it borders North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan.
Mariani gave Jakarta and Tangerang City as an example, many migrants from other areas go to Jakarta but have to pass through Tangerang. Likewise, if visitors want to go to Penajam, they must pass through Tanah Bumbu.
With this spirit, Tanah Bumbu prepares to welcome IKN in the hope that it can become a tourist destination for IKN residents.

Regarding tourist destinations, if there is a village that has tourism potential, the Banyuwangi government will come to the village to encourage and provide input on how to build a tourist destination.
