Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The government of Tabalong District has to stopped offline schooling in several schools following the spike of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases here.
The government's spokesperson for COVID-19 acceleration handling task force Taufiqurrahman Hamdie said that the district added 33 new cases.
"The new cases are found in six sub-districts and the most is in Murung Pudak with 20 cases," Taufik expounded in Tanjung, Tuesday.
Othe patients were from the sub-districts of Tanta, Tanjung, Kelua, Banua Lawas, and Haruai.
The additional cases bringing the number to 84 of patients now being treated at the hospitals.

Tabalong Regent Anang Syakhfiani urged sub-district heads, villages heads, and all elements of society to respond to the surge in the spread of Coronavirus in the district.
"I ask face-to-face learning to be stopped (temporarily), espepcially in schools where positive cases of COVID-19 were found," said Anang.
The spike of COVID-19 cases has caused the northenmost district in South Kalimantan to be in the status of level 3 community activity restriction (PPKM) together with Balangan and Tanah Laut.
Meanwhile, other regions that were declared to be in the level 3 of PPKM were Banjar District, North Hulu Sungai District, Central Hulu Sungai District, Batola District, Tapin District, Banjarmasin City, and Banjarbaru City.
