Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Mitra Hidayah Mandiri enterprise (BUMDes) owned by Bitahan Baru Village in Tapin District has been able to contribute tens of millions of locally generated revenue (PAD).
"In 2021, the BUMDes handed over a profit for PAD of IDR45.7 million," said Head of Village Economic Development of Tapin Community and Village Empowerment (PMD) Agency Iwan Satriansyah, Saturday.
The agency noted that of all BUMDes in Tapin, Mitra Hidayah Mandiri enterprise was the largest contributor to PAD.
BUMDes Mitra Hidayah Mandiri, said Iwan, during its operation in managing the village assets and cooperating with the third parties, had never received any capital participation from the village itself.
"This means that this BUMDes is truly independent in carrying out economic activities in its village. This should be an example for other villages in Tapin," he pointed out.
The business activities that it commits include providing clean water for the community, buying and selling scrap metal with mining companies, and providing catering for mining companies.
Having a good catering business, said Iwan, the BUMDes received assistance from a company to build and manage an agro-tourism.
