Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Batulicin Immigration Office in Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, distributed food and cash assistance to orphans at the Permata Hati Batulicin Orphanage, Wednesday (August 13, 2025).
Head of the Batulicin Immigration Office Ferizal here said that this is a form of the immigration's social concern for community, especially children in need ---and to mark the 80th anniversary of Indonesian Independence.
"And this is an opportunity to strengthen ties (silaturahmi) and foster empathy and social awareness between the rank of immigration and orphans," he said.

Immigration officers took advantage of the moment to interact warmly with children at the orphanage.
It was filled with affinity and laughter, as the entourage was warmly welcomed by the orphanage management and children.
Ferizal hopes this activity will strengthen the synergy between the Batulicin Immigration and the community, as well as to serve as a reminder that the values of independence must be realized through concrete actions to help others.
"The spirit of independence is not only to celebrate with ceremony and competitions, but also through sharing and caring for others. Hopefully this aid to bring benefits and happiness to the children at Permata Hati Orphanage," he said.
