Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Battleships of the Republic of Indonesia (KRI) Dr Soeharso 990 or better known as floating hospital warships began to receive some patients with respiratory illness due to smog, Tuesday (27/10).
"There are some citizens, including infants, who went to the warship complaining of respiratory illness due to smog," said Banjarmasin Naval Base Commander Col (P) Haris Bima Bayuseto here on Tuesday.
He said that patients who came to the ship had not undergone inpatient, because the pain they experience only mild.
Haris said floating hospital warships that was specially brought for medical treatment to people sick due to smog. The ship equipped with medical equipment, patient rooms and operating rooms, and there are about 28 doctors, four of them specialists.
KRI Soeharso 990 is one of three warships docked at the Trisakti Port Banjarmasin. Another warship are KRI Banda Aceh and KRI Teluk Jakarta. Their arrival was discussed in a meeting on Wednesday (28/10) afternoon at Abdi Persada. The meeting was attended by Acting Governor of South Kalimantan.
