Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Criminal Investigation Unit of North Banjarmasin Sector Police nabbed a dealer of crystal methamphetamine or sabu-sabu, commonly circulates the illicit goods among students in this city.
"We arrested the perpetrator in front of the entrance of one of the university here when about to do transactions," said Banjarmasin Chief Police Commissioner Wahyono MH here on Wednesday.
The arrest was made on (11/7) afternoon around 16:00 at JalanHasan Basri, Kayu Tangi, North Banjarmasin.
The perpetrator, who is known initials YK (35), a resident of Pandan Arum Complex at Jalan Jahri Saleh, North Banjarmasin, was in a car of his suspected consumer.
When arrested, YK had resisted the officers, but due to their alertness he could be secured.
From him, police seized three large packs of sabu-sabu, a glass pipette and other material evidence.
It did not end. Police continued to develop and found again five packs of sabu-sabu stored in a box at his house. The perpetrator and the evidence brought directly to North Banjarmasin police office to further legal proceedings.
"Total methamphetamine seized eight big packs weighing about 1.5 ounces," said the man who had served as Deputy Director of Traffic at Polda Metro Jaya.
He said, from the results of interrogation known the crystal methamphetamine belonged to E, who is now still at large and in the list of people in search (DPO). Methamphetamine was handed over by courier initials J, also in the DPO. Then from J submitted to YK.
