Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Mayor of Banjarbaru H M Aditya Mufti Ariffin accompanied by City Secretary Said Abdullah handed over a donation of IDR250 million from the city residents to the social service organization Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) South Kalimantan to be delivered to Palestine.
"The IDR250 million aid fund is a donation by the residents of Banjarbaru to be delivered to Palestine through ACT South Kalimantan," said the Mayor, Monday.
The aid, which was collected through the National Alm Agency (Baznas), received by Head of ACT South Kalimantan Zainal Ariffin and Rizki, who stated that the agency was ready to distribute the aid and provided the details for the needs.
"The ACT team will convey what this aid is for, so it is easy for us to detail it to the public because this aid is a form of concern of the people of Banjarbaru for the Palestinian people," he said.

The Head of the ACT branch of South Kalimantan said that the agency here has for decades been raising funds for Palestinian people who continuously experiencing war until now.
"Since 2005 we have been in Palestine to help its people who are suffering from war. Last year we open a branch in arena Gaza to further expand the aid entrusted to ACT," he said.
He said ACT has data such as a logistics warehouse, several ambulances, and a truck brought from South Kalimantan to supply thousands of food packages for people or refugees affected by war.
"Our program is currently the economic and health recovery. In addition, is to provide business capital assistance for farmers and repair Indonesian clinics over there," he said.
