Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Commander of 1008/Tanjung Military Command (Dandim) Lt.Col. Inf. Ras Lambang Yudha asked village supervisory non-commissioned officers (Babinsa) and the ranks of Sub-district Military Command (Koramil) to monitor flood-prone areas following the high rainfall in Tabalong District.
"A number of areas have been inundated due to river overflows, so babinsa and Koramil should remind residents to be aware of floods," said Ras Lambang.
Early monitoring can anticipate flood disasters, especially residential areas along the Tabalong Riverside.
Ras Lambang also urged residents to be aware of flooding if rainfall continues to be high.
At the same time, the ranks of Kodim 1008/Tanjung are also on standby to monitor and continue to communicate with a number of related agencies to help to anticipate flood.

Muara Uya Koramil Commander Capt. Inf. Uung Sutandi reported that the results of monitoring the river water has submerged a number of district and provincial roads.
"Together with babinsa we check river water discharge following the overflow of Muara Uya River," said Uung.
The overflow of the river has disrupted the activities of motorcyclists.
Not only in Muara Uya Sub-district, the flood also caused residents' houses in Namun Village, Jaro Sub-district, were inundated by about 50 centimeter high water.
