Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - In the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarasa Tbk Tarjun Factory in Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, continues to improve the quality of rural road infrastructure, while village fund focused on helping residents exposed to coronavirus.
"Improving the quality of infrastructure from rocky roads to cementation has become the company's commitment to participate in developing regions," said the company's SSECSR Department Head Teguh Iman Basoeki in Kotabaru, Friday.
He said the company would continue its commitment to implement CSR program as a realization of Indocement's vision and mission.
"Through the CSR program, we can participate in increasing social welfare of the local community and to create community's support to the development of the company, as we clearly part of social entity," he said.
Indocement's CSR program, he explained, was guided by five pillars of development, namely education, health, economics, socio-cultural religion and sport, and security.
The program, Teguh said, is implemented in all factory locations in Citereup, Bogor District, Palimanan, Cirebon District, also in Tarjun, Kotabaru, and all Tiga Roda cement terminals.
A community figure Suparlan said, the rural road improvement is very helpful to the community. Road users are laborers, farmers, traders, teachers, employees, and others.
"Indocement has helped a lot in the development of Tegalrejo Village in terms of education, economy, health, social culture, environment, and many other things and they support security," he said.
Chief of Tegalrejo Village Afifudin said that the 300 meters long and five meters wide road was built in mutual cooperation with village officials, residents, employees and management of Indocement and other parties who helped.
