Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - All passengers of a Garuda Indonesia aircraft, which broke tires on the runway of the Syamsudin Noor Banjarmasin Internasional Airport, survived. There were no injuries in the incident.
"All passengers survived, no casualties or injuries," said Communication and Legal Manager of the airport Aditya Putra Patria in Banjarbaru, Thursday night.
The Boeing B738 aircraft flight number GA532 from Jakarta to Banjarmasin experienced technical problems at around 15.00 WITA (Central Indonesia Time) after landing when it was about to turn toward the apron to park.
"We want to straighten out information on social media that said the plane was derailed, but it actually got technical constraints cannot maneuver toward the apron. The technical problems are still being investigated," he explained.

The point of failure of the maneuver of the aircraft, which was carrying 35 pasenggers, he said, was in the middle of runway 10/28 and the position was transversely, thus it had to be pulled toward the apron.
"The position of the aircraft obstructed the runway (block aircraft) then the point of the runway was temporarily closed and resulted of two flight late from their scheduled landing," he said.
