Through the Teaching Factory (TEFA) program, YABN fosters four vocational high schools in Tabalong and Balangan Districts to be ready to compete in facing global developments.
"The vocational schools will be able to produce teachers and students who have the best competence in facing the industrial revolution in the future," explained Adaro Foundation Vocational Education Supervisor Citra Hapsari.
The Teaching Factory program is the Adaro Foundation's commitment to improve the quality of vocational education to create students who are skilled, independent, and ready to fill available employment opportunities.
Citra said four vocational schools which are assisted by YABN namely SMKN 1 Tanjung for cooking, and fashion major, SMKN 1 Murung Pudak for hotel program, and light vehicle engineering, SMK PP Paringin in agriculture and SMKN 1 Paringin in electricity program.
"This series of trainings is carried out to improve the competence of teachers and students in schools," said Citra.
YABN brings in external experts directly from a number of fields of expertise, so that teachers can learn directly from them.
With the help of experts, teachers can practice and learn directly by developing school support facilities.
One of the external experts, Chef Eros, assesses this kind of activity can open the teacher's insight in developing skills and abilities, thus teachers can teach students better.
