Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - As the host, South Kalimantan does not want to miss showing off its superior products at the World Food Day Exhibition which takes place in the courtyard of the Provincial Government Office in Banjarbaru.


Products from collaboration from various Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) assisted by 10 related government agencies to PKK, Dharma Wanita, and Dekranasda were displayed at the booth of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government.

It turned out that sasirangan cloth and diamond jewelery were mostly interested for visitors from outside the region.

"Sasirangan and diamond have indeed been bought a lot by our brothers and sisters from outside the region because they are typical souvenir of South Kalimantan," said Dina Aulia Mangkusari, the exhibition committee who also responsible at the stand of South Kalimantan Government.

Dina revealed, the exhibited items, such as sasirangan cloth and gemstone jewelry, are indeed chosen only the best quality and have become export products.

"Sasirangan from the lowest price of Rp150 thousand to Rp2.5 million are available in the form of cloth or ready to wear," explained the Head of the Domestic Trade Division of the South Kalimantan Trade Agency.

Visitors can also buy women's bags from Purun woven and various other handicraft products. Then there are native honey from Kalimantan forest and cosmetic products from South Kalimantan's superior natural ingredients.

"For food, there are amplang, various other snacks, cinnamon syrup and many more from the results of SMEs who are fostered by the Forestry Agency, Plantation and Livestock Agency and Fisheries and Marine Agency," said Dina.
