Batu Agung Wins Malaysia Cup 2017

Paringin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Batu Agung Football School (SSBA), from Balangan, South Kalimantan, again won an international achievement, after tens of competitors in the International Asia Roadcare Cup 2017.

 

SSBA, who have the honor of representing Indonesia, won the fifth place from 24 football clubs in the youth tournament at age 12 (U-12) which took place on 16 December 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

"Here in Malaysia we are not only participating in the Asia Roadcare Cup 2017, we won as the fifth winner from 24 clubs who took part in what here called as Kejohanan Kebangsaan Malaysia U-12 2017 in a full day competition," said SSBA coach Umar Bawi via his cell phone in Malaysia. 

In the final round, SSBA won slightly 1-0 over Selangor, Malaysia. While the third place won by Chalefa and International Football Association (Infa), Jakarta won the fourth.

"This is the moment that children are no more clumsy in facing foreign players, whereas, by contrast, it becomes an important capital to rise up for Balangan football, even for Indonesia," he asserted.  

The next, SSBA Balangan has planned to play in some internation match, among which is in the Gothia Cup 2018, China.

Previously, the young football players from Balangan, South Kalimantan, won the eighth place in the 2017 Aqua Danone Nations Cup in Red Bull Arena, New York, United States.
