Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 23/11 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Deputy Mayor of Banjarmasin Hermansyah stated that the city government is very serious to finish the construction of Sultan Suriansyah Hospital on Jalan RK Ilir, South Banjarmasin.

Although he admitted, the continuation of the construction of this hospital this year threatened to fail to be implemented.

"In general, the completion of the construction of this hospital is our vision and mission as regional leaders now, and we are very serious to make it happen," Hermasnyah said when giving information to journalists at the city council on Thursday.

The budget for this year's development has been allocated Rp38 billion in the pure local budget (APBD), but because of the new provisions, it must be managed by the Health Agency, not by the Public Works and Spatial Planning as it used to be. Then the fund transferred to revised local budget (APBD-P).

"Obviously, there are technical issues need to be fixed to be able to use the budget, not as technically handled by the Public Works and Spatial Planning," he explained.

He acknowledged, the performance of the city health office in carrying out the task of building this hospital is not so maximal, until the close of the year has not been able to implement it.

He admitted very disappointed if until the end of this year the very large funds have been allocated for the continuation of the municipal government-owned hospital which physically built since 2015 becomes idle and unused funds (Silpa).
