The district goverment of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan Province, has allocated Rp100 bilion to continue the constructio of the 6.5 kilometers Batulicin-Pulau Laut Kotabaru bridge in 2025.
"Tanah Bumbu government has disbursed a fund of Rp100 billion in 2024, then allocated another Rp100 billion through the 2025 APBD (Regional Budget)," said Head of Tanah Bumbu Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office Hernadi here on Tuesday.
He said the district governemnt is actively involved in the construction project of the bridge connecting Pulau Laut Kotabaru with Batulicin, including in land acquisition.
PUPR Office, he said, is fully responsible for the process of land acquisition required for the bridge construction on the Tanah Bumbu side.
He explained that the PUPR's Administration and Permits or the Tanah Bumbu government also facilitated various permits and administrative requirements for the project to run smoothly according to regulations.

Coordination with the provincial and central government related to the progress of project, field challanges, and program sychronization.
"Tanah Bumbu consistently budgets Rp100 billion until the next five years for the continuation of the project," Hernadi pointed out.
The total agreed budget for the construction of Pulau Laut Kotabaru-Batulicin bridge is estimated to exceed Rp3 trillion.
The figure is the accumulation from various sources, including a plan from the central government's state budget (APBN), South Kalimantan provincial's budget (APBD), and the Tanah Bumbu's and Kotabaru's APBD.
The bridge construction as a strategic national and regional project needs a large financial support from various parties.
Currently, the ongoing construction includes substructure work, foundations and piles.
In several points, foundation and pile work is already underways, particularly in areas of cleared land. Prepatory work is also underway for connecting road to the bridge on both sides, Tanah Bumbu and Kotabaru.
"Heady equipment and material mobilization is also ongoing to support the continuation of construction work," said Hernadi.
