Rantau, South Kalimantan, 29/3 (AntaranewsKalsel) - A total of 41 prospective haj pilgrims from Tapin district canceled their leave for the Holy Land, because of illness or unable to pay off the remaining cost of haj (BPIH) and several other reasons.


Head of Hajj and Umrah Services Section of the Tapin office of Ministry of Religious Affairs H Sulaiman in Rantau on Wednesday said the number of pilgrims who cancel to leave this year may still grows.

"For this moment only 41 haj pilgrims candidates who ensured cancel to leave due to several reasons, such as illness, can not pay the remaining BPIH, and other problems," he said.

Thus, he added, prospective pilgrims Tapin is reduced from 220 into 179 pilgrims candiates will depart.

Typically, he said, when medical tests the number of prospective haj pilgrims who cancel to leave is increased. So every year the amount of the quota set for Tapin, rarely met.

Medical tests for Tapin prospective haj pilgrims  is scheduled on March 4-5 in four community health centers (puskemas), namely in Banua Padang, Margasari, North Tapin, and Binuang held 

According to Sulaiman, when there are haj candidates who are pregnant and who should dialysis they certainly can not be dispatched.
